DARKNESS

DARKNESS

As a Life Coach… most of my clients come to me in a state of darkness. Their preconceived plan had gone off course. The story book that they have been following somehow had a page or two ripped out which led to blank spots on how to proceed. You might have heard… “We plan and God laughs“. My take on that expression is that the laughter of the universe is, perhaps, a wake up call that the course we were on was no longer working for us. As humans, we tend to get attached to our daily lives; our jobs, our possessions, our to-do lists, and our unwavering beliefs. But….what if all of those avenues weren’t the BEST way to justify our value? ?

When the rug gets pulled out from under you, rather than getting mad at the rug, or the puller….maybe just sit there for a moment and ask yourself, honestly, if what you were doing was truly working for you? Were you being authentic? Were you taking things for granted? Were you rationalizing a job or a relationship? Were you attached to your own story… or did you simply lack faith that you could take a new course and achieve something better?

When I started my spiritual journey 11 years ago, I learned a great deal about faith. It was explained to me that when you walk into a dark room, all you have to do is flip the switch and the light will come on. It’s not necessary that you understand electricity or what all those little wires behind the walls are doing. We just have faith that the little lever on the wall will illuminate the room, so that we can see where we’re going. There are many things at play in our lives that we cannot see, cannot touch and cannot understand. If we simply use the light switch analogy in our lives, we can utilize that same faith to see our way out of the darkness, knowing the light will always come back on. The bigger question is, will you like everything in your view?

What action can you take today to ensure that when you emerge from the darkness, you like what you see? I’ll go first ??

Lately I’ve been immersed in so many different projects that I’ve loosened the reigns on a few of my self care rituals. Yesterday I really began to feel it! TODAY, I am reimplementing those non negotiable tools that I KNOW keep me balanced, healthy and anchored. ???‍♀️???????
