DRESS REHEARSAL
(July 17, 2020)
As a Life Coach… I teach my clients that every day is a “dress rehearsal“ for their leading roles. Every morning, consciously or subconsciously, you are picking up your script and following the lines. If each day the opening scene begins with gratitude and a beautiful sun peeking out of the horizon ? the story will likely be a positive one. Conversely, if you wake up to thunderstorms, a dreary mood and a black cloud, well….you probably know how the story will end. Within your individual script, every sentence that comes out of your mouth, becomes part of your featured film. So here’s the question… What are you rehearsing for? Box office hit? or a Box Office flop?
?“Reefer Madness” (1936)
?”Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” (1964)
?“Doomsday” (2008)
Or
?“It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946)
When I teach manifesting, I encourage daily intention, deliberate application and painstaking repetition. There’s a man by the name of Rick Hansen who wrote the book “Just One Thing.” The premise, is that you choose what you want and then Every.Single.Day practice JUST ONE THING toward that goal….no matter what. Your action is a rehearsel and your rehearsel is reinforcement. So… what exactly are you reinforcing? What script are you reading from every day?
The good news is that you are not bound to the script that was handed to you or that you have grown accustomed. At any point in time, you can talk to the Director (that energy source that has your back and that resides in the center of your being ?) and ask for your script to be rewritten. If it’s a crappy storyline, go and choose a new plot, supporting characters, a fantastic ensemble and a happy ending! Whatever script you choose… THIS IS THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE so create the verbiage that supports your final scene, rehearse accordingly and prepare to take center stage!
What is your JUST ONE THING? Could be a relationship? a career or even a mood! What is so important to you that you’re rehearsing for it every single day of your life. I’ll go first? ??
??♀️ Currently I have placed my book as my JUST ONE THING. While that doesn’t exclude my health and well-being, the happiness of my family, and the balance in my life… I have made this a non-negotiable, daily priority and as of yesterday I am at 36,302 words ??✍??
